Software Engineer
Accurat | November 2023 - October 2025
Sole in-house software engineer at a data-focused company. Most of my work focused on building internal tools and production-oriented frameworks for ML engineers and data scientists, with additional responsibility for SDK integrations and technical coordination.
- Designed and built two internal Python frameworks that became the standard way for ML engineers and data scientists to reuse shared analytical logic and calculate production results, replacing fragile notebook/script handoffs with reproducible workflows for dashboards and custom client cases.
- Introduced engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, Docker-based development, and more maintainable code organization in an environment that had grown mostly from research and client-driven code.
- Led 4 third-party SDK integrations, coordinating between client technical teams, internal stakeholders, and freelance SDK developers to expand the data available for analytics.
- Reviewed and guided freelance development work on dashboards and platform redesigns, clarifying requirements and keeping implementation aligned with product goals.

Invited back after the internship to optimize three primary production algorithms, reducing their associated GCP billing costs by 45.1%, 46.4%, and 93.2%.
Improved the quality and runtime of transport mode and trip detection algorithms.
Master's Thesis: Predicting Personalized Solar Energy Production Based on Historical Data
UGent Niko | September 2022 - June 2023
My master's thesis was conducted in collaboration with Niko. I developed a predictive model for estimating the solar energy production of their customers, considering model size constraints and the diverse range of customer installations.
